Solis Translations

We are an independent, competitive and well trained communication team focusing on English-Spanish-English translation and instruction as well visual communication through photography.  We also offer services in other languages; please inquire about specific needs.  

Based in San Antonio, TX and operating locally, nationally, internationally,
our team has over 60 years combined experience in translating, teaching,
newspaper, television and radio, photography and design.

Eugenio Solis is a bilingual and bicultural language instructor, translator, interpreter and copywriter. He has worked as a language instructor at Berlitz International and as an independent language instructor. He has taught personnel and executives from organizations as diverse as the DoD, ATT, Grupo Modelo, SR Forwarding customs brokers, and Garcia 360 marketing firm to name a few. As a translator and interpreter, he has experience in direct translation in a legal context as well as in interpreting narrative, legal, corporate and private texts.

Frank Solis is a bilingual and bicultural translator with experience in advertising, marketing, legal, political, academic and technical translation.  He has worked and translated domestically and abroad in the areas of advertising, marketing, international development and security policy, areas in which he has an extensive professional and academic background.

Maria de la Luz Gutierrez is a copywriter, proofreader, editor, author and teacher.  She has extensive experience in newspaper, radio, and television and teaching.  She has received numerous awards including a gold-medal for her television program in Mexico "Valores Infantiles" and was most recently recognized by the Asociacion Nacional de Locutores de Mexico, A.C. for 50 years of service, dedication and excellence.

Cat Solis started her career working with several photographers in the Boston area shooting everything from weddings to widgets.  After shooting architecture, products and medical studies she was ready to expand her trade and began offering a funky alternative and photojournalist approach to wedding and portrait photography.  Cat also teaches photography and offers private training in workflow and digital imaging.
